Lessons from Apollo 5 | Effective Troubleshooting
This has definitely been my experience. While I've troubleshot in person and remotely with many people and different teams, I was blessed to work alongside a fantastic co-worker who shared this perspective to the same level as me for a few years (the Apollo level if you will). The learning and growth from that experience was immensely valuable for me and productive for our company. This also lead to a great friendship, much like the Apollo mission controllers and astronauts who ended up with life long, close, family tight friendships.
My advice, even if you work remote, know when to reach out to others and work the problem live! Build a culture where troubleshooting live is normal. Do it, do it well, finish it or find the stopping point and pick it up when you can.
